Silken Windhounds of California

The Silken Windhounds of California have been holding events since 2001,
but formally became part of the ISWS as a club in 2007.
Brewer
The club is organized by a core group
of enthusiastic Silken owners and breeders in Northern California , who share a common goal of
increasing the visibility of our wonderful breed by participating in the many
events available to us in this region, as well as sponsoring our own events .
Ella
We provide many opportunities for Silken Windhound themed educational seminars, forums , health testing
and just all-round fun for Silkens and honorary Silkens in the form of puppy parties,
get togethers, dental cleaning get togethers, frequent beach runs, and canine birthday parties .
Travis and Lucy
In addition to sponsoring licensed conformation shows and racing events
(under the rules and regulations of our parent club, the ISWS) we assist in rescue operations and
facilitate communication between Silken Windhound owners and breeders throughout the country.
Dita
We also participate with UC Davis's Veterinary Genetics Lab in helping them research
the mysteries of canine genetics through the Silken Windhound Genome Project
Phoenix
We welcome members who share our devotion to our elegant little sighthounds.
