RESCUE HOUNDS . Currently there are no hounds in Rescue . Past Rescues Dec 19, 2007 Introducing Mr Django! Adopted! Django , ( pronounced Jang-go ) is a lovely , cheerful , five year old gentleman looking for a forever family to call his own . Django loves people, and is super social, especially if someone offers to play fetch with him ! He's a squeeky-toy loving hound, and daily joyful romps with his favorite toys are normal. He is very silly at times and fun, He's cat safe, and does great with dogs off leash, but can sometimes be vocal with dogs when he is on leash. He's mostly been living as an only- dog at home , but has been happy and easygoing in other multi-dog and cat households for extended periods. Django loves playtime, counter surfing, snuggling, and belly-balancing for a nice rub . He's a touch chunky in girth and could do with some exercise to trim down some. ( Preferably, at least to Django, by playing ball or long walks .) He's come into rescue because his owner, who loves him very much, has health issues that are making placement necessary and he wants the best life for his baby. Django does a pretty reliable ‘sit’ on command but would do well with someone who wants to do more obedience with him
Django hears you need a new family member! Contact rescue coordinator Joyce Chin for more information . November 17th 2007 Meet Rollicking Rowan! Adopted!
Rowan is a happy-go-lucky , lovely 3 year old Silken Windhound boy who is looking for his forever home! He's very people - social and super affectionate . He's easy to walk on leash, and a bed snuggler supreme! If you want a velcro hound to roam around town with , this is your man . He's a natural greeter , and is an easy conversation starter wherever you go with him . His black brindle and white good looks add to his social buttterfly charm. He appears to enjoy children, and loves their attention on walks. Rowan was used to living with big and small dogs in his former home , and so is very big-and-tiny dog social . He was not raised with cats at all , and only saw them as invaders to chase out of the yard , just like the squirrels , so this silly guy would probably do best in a canine-centric household .
Rowan's hobbies are getting petted , food , and lounging , though he isn't opposed to romping and dancing with his people or his dog pals . He would probably do really well with someone who wanted to do some obedience or freestyle , as he's a natural dancer, and he's VERY food motivated and people focused . He's young and healthy, though a touch " chunky ", and came from a very loving home who had to let him go into rescue due to some really unfortunate circumstances . He has no aggression issues , and should be a good fit with many families after the usual " where am I" adjustment period . He's used to using a dog door , but does appreciate walks ! Ready for some Rowan in your life?
Rowan was originally born in Utah, but grew up in, and is now being fostered in Northern California !
